GCSE MATHS REVISION
This checklist covers the GCSE Maths content that can be assessed on Higher tier papers. Higher tier includes the Foundation and crossover skills as well as additional Higher-only content, so students need confidence across the whole GCSE Maths curriculum.
Use the checklist to identify what you already know, what needs more practice and which skills you still need to learn. Where a matching Maths Unlocked lesson exists, use the lesson link to practise that skill.

HigherSkills marked Higher are content assessed only on Higher tier. Unmarked skills may also appear on Foundation tier, but can still be assessed on Higher papers.
Use the three labels below to decide where to focus next.
— You can answer a typical question on this skill without notes or help.
— You understand the method but still make mistakes or need reminders.
— You are unsure how to begin or do not yet understand the method.
Higher Maths relies heavily on making connections between topics. Do not focus only on Higher-only content: secure crossover skills are still essential because any content in the specification can be assessed on Higher papers.
Higher papers contain the full GCSE Maths curriculum and place greater emphasis on Algebra, reasoning and problem solving. Questions may combine several areas of mathematics, so being able to recognise which method to use is as important as knowing individual procedures.
