GCSE MATHS PRACTICE
Mean, median and mode describe central tendency. The mean is the total divided by the number of values. The median is the middle value after ordering the data; for an even number of values, average the middle two. The mode is the most frequent value. Range measures spread, not central tendency: subtract the minimum from the maximum. In a frequency table, each value occurs as many times as its frequency.
